A different way to accomplish this is to use zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs. A ZK proof allows me to prove that I know some secret value that satisfies various constraints. The neat thing about using a ZK proofs to make this claim is that my “proof” should be entirely convincing to the website, yet will reveal nothing at all beyond the fact that these claims are true.
